Why Does The Valenti & Foster Studio Smell Like A Catholic Church?

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) During the Valenti & Foster show, a major revelation happened: The studio smelled like the "bottom of a garlic dip bin."

The previous show, Karsch & Anderson, was blamed for the scent.

"Today they either, I don't know what they lit or poured in here or what happened," Valenti said. "Someone tried a candle or incense... of some form."

Then this: What it smells like is an old school Catholic church, Valenti said.

"I felt the horror of being back in the horrible Catholic church of my youth," he said.

Foster uncovered a pumpkin spice candle, which he blamed for the scent.

"It's horrifying," Valenti said.

What smell were they trying to mask? No one knew, but the smell later crept into the control room, a double glassed wall away.

"You know what that is? It's the Holy Spirit," Valenti said of the allegedly creeping scent.

How bad was it?

Producer Mike Sullivan said, "If I was doing the show in there right now, I would throw up."

What do you think, are Karsch and Anderson to blame, and if so -- What are they doing or bringing into the studio to make it smell that bad?
