Naked Photos Found On Government-Issued Laptop, Child Porn CDs In Detroit Arsenal Employee's Desk

WARREN (WWJ) - Authorities say an employee of Detroit Arsenal in Warren is facing charges after his employer found naked photos on his government-issued computer and multiple CDs containing images of child pornography in his desk -- some with images of girls as young as 4-years-old.

Peter Blazejczyk, of Lapeer, was taken into custody by FBI agents Friday on charges of receiving child pornography and possession of child pornography. He's due back in court for a hearing on February 17.

According to the criminal complaint, Blazejczyk's employer contacted authorities on Wednesday to report the allegations. Plant officials say the whole situation started back on January 19, when Blazejczyk had complained about a problem with his work laptop.

While working on the computer, a supervisor discovered nude photographs of Blazejczyk as well as close-up images of his penis, according to the complaint.

"He also admitted the nude photographs were in his work email which he used to send to other people," the complaint says. "Blazejczyk stated that he communicated with other individuals via email and these individuals sent similar photos to Blazejczyk."

The complaint says Blazejczyk "appeared reluctant to provide details" but said the inappropriate activity on his work laptop went on for quite some time. He was ordered to delete the images and was subsequently suspended on January 20.

A few weeks later on February 8, the supervisor was apparently going through Blazejczyk's desk when he discovered four CDs, one of which was labeled "Unclassified Family Pics 11/20/13." According to the complaint, that disc contained multiple images of girls between 4 and 10 years of age in various stages of undress and illicit sexual poses. At that point, police were notified.

"Some of the females were clothed, some nude, and some images depicted close up pictures of the minors' vaginas," the complaint says. "In some photos, Blazejczyk's face is also visible."

Federal agents secured warrants and on Thursday Blazejczyk's home was searched, after which he was taken into custody, according to a report in the Macomb Daily.

During an interview with investigators, officials say Blazejczyk admitted to possessing, sending and receiving child pornography.

The investigation is ongoing and is being worked jointly by the FBI Detroit Division, the FBI's Macomb County Resident Agency, and the FBI's Flint Resident Agency.
