Man Wanted In Failed Woodward Ave. Bank Robbery [PHOTO]
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are hoping the public can help them to identify a man who tried to rob a bank on Wednesday.
According to police, a man walked into a bank — in the 3600 block of Woodward Ave., at 1:37 p.m. — and passed a note to a teller demanding money.
After reading the note, the teller immediately walked away from her window and called 911.
The suspect also walked away at that time, police said, and fled in a green four-door Jeep Cherokee — heading northbound on Woodward.
No cash was taken, no one was hurt, and no weapon was seen, according to police.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 60s, about 5 feet 5 or 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark green jacket, green baseball hat, bright red polo shirt, light color pants and black gym shoes.
