Bay City Police Officer Shot While Trying To Arrest Man

BAY CITY, Mich. (AP) - Police say a Bay City officer has been shot was attempting to arrest a man.

Public Safety Director Michael Cecchini says the injury isn't life-threatening. The incident occurred shortly before noon Friday as Bay City officers were trying to serve an arrest warrant.

Cecchini says the gunman fled into a house and fired shots. There's a police barricade around the house.
