Man Beaten To Death, Another Hospitalized After Fight On Detroit's West Side
DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities say a man is dead and another is hospitalized after a fight apparently broke out at a home on Detroit's west side.
The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 19000 block of Sunderland, in a neighborhood along 7 Mile Road between Evergreen Road and the Southfield Freeway.
According to police, a 33-year-old man got into a fight with a 60-year-old man inside the home.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the younger man dead on the living room floor and the older man with trauma to his body. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police haven't yet said how the men knew each other or if they are related. Other details surrounding the incident weren't immediately clear.
An investigation is ongoing.
