Oakland Beats Detroit, 108-97, To Sweep Metro Series

OAKLAND, Mich. (AP) — Kay Felder had 26 points, nine rebounds and a career-high 16 assists to lead Oakland to a 108-97 victory over Detroit on Friday night to clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the Horizon League tournament.

Martez Walker added 22 points, Percy Gibson had 17, and Jalen Hayes chipped in 14 with 10 rebounds for Oakland (21-10, 13-5), which ends the regular season having won 10 of its last 12 games.

Chris Jenkins scored 22 points to lead Detroit (15-14, 9-9), which ends its regular season losing two straight, and are a half-game back of Milwaukee for fifth place in the league standings.

Oakland led 83-70 before a 13-4 spurt, capped by Jenkins' jumper, pulled Detroit to 87-83 with 6:36 remaining. The Golden Grizzlies answered with a 15-4 run to stretch their lead 102-87, and they led by double digits the rest of the way.
