Strip Club Hands Out Bottled Water To Flint Residents

FLINT (WWJ) - DeJa Vu president George Couch says it's simply a matter of Flint residents helping one another as employees from his two strip clubs hand out bottled water to those in need.

"This is really about the sad state of Flint," says Couch."The people have to boil water to take bathes and stuff like that -- it's just hard to go to work there and think about people going through that stuff. It weighs on me, I'm a family man and I care about stuff like that - I think about the kids and the issues that they have to deal with this water situation."

He says he's making sure that no one in Flint is without clean, safe drinking water so his employees were out on Sunday in front of the club handing out bottled water.

"Some of the areas we are in are not the most economically sound, so we try to help out all of the communities we are in," says Couch.

But he says don't expect that there will be a show going on outside of the adult entertainment club.

"We'll probably have a couple of the girls there," says Couch, "but they are not going to be scantily clad or anything like that."

He says it's first come, first served supply. There's a one case limit and they'll give away the water until it's gone.
