Eastpointe Man Gets Life Without Parole For Slaying Of Wife, 2 Kids

EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - An Eastpointe man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murders of his wife and two children.

Timothy Fradeneck pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the deaths of his wife, 37-year old Christie, and their kids, 2-year-old daughter Celeste and 8-year old son Timothy, known as "Tre", in their home last spring.

Their bodies were found on April 13, 2015, after a concerned family member called for a welfare check.

Investigators say Fradeneck confessed and had planned to kill his family for months, and had acted on it that night because the opportunity presented itself.

He was arrested at the scene after answering the door for officers and pointing out the USB cable he had used to commit the murders. Investigators said Timothy Fradeneck later told them he planned to kill himself as well but failed and wanted his family dead "to spare them the heartache" of his death.

Authorities have said there had been no previous reported incidents of domestic violence at the home, on Cushing Ave., near Gratiot and 9 Mile.

A GoFundMe page set up to help with the Fradenecks' funeral costs raised more than $37,000.
