Police: Preteen Missing Since Monday Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say a preteen missing since Monday night has been found and reunited with her family.

Police said early Wednesday morning that 12-year-old Rataya Ellis had been located and was doing fine. No futher details about her recovery were released.

Police had earlier asked for help in locating Ellis, who was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the 15000 block of Eastwood in Detroit.

Authorities say Ellis has run away at least three times before.
