The Red Wings loss tonight at Chicago was telling. It wasn’t so much that the Red Wings were defeated – the Blackhawks are the defending Stanley Cup champs and a powerhouse – but how.

Chicago, which added four players near the trade deadline, dominated the Red Wings, who stood pat.

It pointed to the difference between the two franchises at this stage. The Blackhawks are what the Red Wings used to be, but no longer are.

Agree with that assessment? Disagree?

It will be among the topics Dennis Fithian and I will discussing tonight following the end of game coverage on 97.1, The Ticket.
