Opening For Wayne County Treasurer To Be Filled
DETROIT (WWJ) - People interested in becoming the next Wayne County Treasurer have a week to apply.
Richard Hathaway resigned last week for what he called a private family matter. Interviews for the position will take place starting March 18 and an appointment is expected to be made April 4.
The Treasurer's seat is also on this year's election ballot, meaning the person who is appointed has to file the appropriate paperwork to run in the August primary and November general elections.
