Lions Re-Sign Whitehead, Butler, Orlovsky And Muhlbach

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions re-signed linebacker Tahir Whitehead, cornerback Crezdon Butler, backup quarterback Dan Orlovsky and long snapper Don Muhlbach on Friday.

Whitehead started nine games last year and 15 in 2014 for the Lions. Detroit drafted him four years ago in the fifth round out of Temple. Whitehead has made 124 tackles, including two sacks, and three interceptions in his career.

Butler played in eight games for the Lions last year after playing in one and getting cut by Seattle. He has started three games and played in 45 since making his debut with Pittsburgh during the 2010 season.

Orlovsky played sparingly in two games behind Matthew Stafford last year, the first season of his second stint with the Detroit.
