Every year POTUS fills out an NCAA Bracket for ESPN and this year he is giving some local love.

Obama is picking the Michigan State Spartans to reach the Final Four -- only to lose to North Carolina.

"UVA is disciplined,'' said Obama. "They are really well coached. But I believe, as I know a lot of others do, that Denzel Valentine may be the best college player, may not be the best pro prospect but absolutely has had an unbelievable season. I think he's going to be a fine pro. And the kind of leadership at the guard position that he provides Michigan State, I think gets them into the Final Four.''

In 2009 Obama correctly picked North Carolina to win the National Title in Detroit, so he's got that going for him. But over the past six seasons he hasn't gotten the selection right.

If Michigan State makes the Final Four, but does indeed lose the game, is that a successful season for the Spartans?
