Construction Tools Stolen From Vehicle Parked Outside Westland Lowe's

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Westland Police are asking the public for help in identifying two suspects who apparently broke into a vehicle that was parked outside of a Lowe's home improvement store and stole construction tools.

Police say the incident happened on Thursday, March 10 at the Lowe's store at Newburgh and Warren roads.

The victim told police he went inside to shop and when he returned to his vehicle, he discovered that it had been broken into and many of his tools were missing.

Police reviewed surveillance tapes from the store and identified two suspect and a vehicle that were involved in the incident.

Both suspects are described as white men in their 30s. One suspect has a thin build and short brown hair. At the time, he was wearing a black Carhartt-type coat, blue jeans and black shoes. The other suspect has a medium build, dark hair and goatee. He was wearing a grey hat, grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time.

The suspects were driving a black Chevrolet Silverado with a 4-door extended cab, and a silver toolbox in the bed.
