The Snack Attack: Strawberry Shortcake Oreos Hit The Shelves -- Get 'Em While You Can

I've said it before and no doubt I'll say it again: It's time to bust out your fat pants and get your Oreo on!

The Internet exploded last week when word got out that Oreo was making a Strawberry Shortcake flavored cookie and now, the limited-edition cookies are finally available for purchase.

Sold exclusively at Walmart, this Oreo features a generous helping of strawberry shortcake flavored crème sandwiched between two golden cookies. The cookies are only available for a short amount of time, though, so get them while you can!

Review: Strawberry Shortcake Oreos

Appearance: What pretty little cookies! You can clearly tell these are double stuffed with fluffy pink-colored crème. The bag isn't resalable, so you either have to down the 21 cookies as fast as you can or have some solid food storage, because no one wants a stale cookie.

Aroma: As soon as I opened the bag, I was smacked with the strong smell of sweet strawberries. Yes, it's the fake strawberry scent, but that doesn't make it any less tempting.

Taste: It's pretty much what you would expect and is very, very sweet. The crème by itself is just alright -- it reminded me of strawberries, albeit artificial, with just a hint of whipped cream, and it seems a little thicker than original vanilla crème. The golden wafer is what really brings in the shortcake flavor. But the overall taste is a little bit of a letdown, I kind of just feel like I'm eating a strawberry cookie. Where's the cake?

Pros: The smell is probably the best thing about these cookies. And there's so much crème that it spills out the sides when you bite in.

Cons: You only get 21 cookies in a package, far less than original Oreo cookies.

Rating: 5 out of 10 -- yes, they were good cookies but I found the overall flavor lacking.
