Beautiful Weekend In Store For Metro Detroit: Sunny Skies And Temps Near 70

DETROIT (WWJ) - It might be Thursday but all we can think about is the weekend, because we have some gorgeous weather in store.

CBS 62 Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus said we'll start off with sunny skies and rising temperatures today, paving the way for some of the nicest weather we've seen so far this year.

"It's clear as the eye can see with lots of sun in the forecast and temperatures in the 60s," said Madaus. "Just blue skies and sun."

It's almost hard to believe that we started this week with snow and now we're expected to hit near 70 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

"High pressure over the Great Lakes Region, over the eastern half of the nation really, is giving us some great weather that will go through the weekend," said Madaus. "And we'll have temperatures in the 60s next week."
