Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - The weekend is here again, which means construction crews are going to be out in full force — especially on I-275, where big delays are expected.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-275:

In Oakland County, north and south I-275 between I-696 and 5 Mile will have two lanes closed 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work. Expect delays.

I-94:

In Wayne County, east and west I-94 from East Grand Blvd to French, moving right and left lane closures 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for bridge work.

I-96:

In Wayne County, east and west I-96 ramp to Evergreen will closed at 7 a.m.  Monday until November for bridge work.

In Wayne County, north and south Evergreen Road over I-96 will have one lane maintained 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday until July for bridge work.

In Wayne County, west I-96 from Grand River (near Livernois) to Davison, two left lanes closes Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for signing work. Expect delays.

In Wayne County, east I-96 service drive at Evergreen will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday until November for bridge work.

In Wayne County, east I-96 ramp to north I-75 will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday for guardrail work. Ramp to M-10 remains open.

I-75:

In Wayne County, south I-75 from Southfield Road to Goddard, left lane closed 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for road work.

In Wayne County, south I-75 at M-8 (Davison), multiple lane closures, two lanes open, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday for sign work. Expect delays.

In Wayne County, north and south I-75 from Springwells to W Grand Blvd, moving lane closures 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for bridge work. Expect delays.

In Wayne County, north I-75 at Grand River, two right lanes closed 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday for sign work. Expect delays. The north I-75 ramp to Grand River is closed.

In Oakland County, north and south I-75 ramp to University Dr, single lane closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon through May.

In Oakland County, east and west University Dr from Opdyke to Pontiac, one lane closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday though May.

M-3 (Randolph):

In Wayne County, north and south M-3 (Randolph) at Monroe St closed from 3p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday for event.

M-8 (Davison):

In Wayne County, east and west M-8 from Linwood to Rosa Parks will have two lanes closed 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Monday through June for utility work. Expect delays.

M-10:

In Wayne County, south M-10 from Outer Drive to Puritan Street right lane closed 5 a.m. Monday through June for retaining wall work. Expect delays.

M-39 (Southfield Fwy):

In Wayne County, north M-39 from McNichols to Outer Dr, right lane closed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for bridge work. McNichols ramp to north M-39 ramp closed

M-59:

In Macomb County, east M-59 Ramp to Mound/Merrill Roads, ramp closed 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Wednesday for road work. Expect delays.

US-12 (Michigan Ave):

In Wayne County, east and west US-12 at Miller Rd, single lane closure 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday for bridge work.
