Police Investigating After Man Shot In Head While Driving Through Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI (WWJ) -- Deputies in Washtenaw County are investigating after a man was shot in the head while driving through Ypsilanti Township on Tuesday.

Just before 8:30 p.m., the 25-year-old man from Romulus was driving in the area of George and Harmon Ave. when he heard a gunshot and felt pain in the back of his head. He then flagged down another driver for help.

When deputies arrived, the victim was applying pressure to the wound. He was later taken to an area hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
