Former Player Bacari Alexander Returns To Titans As Head Coach

DETROIT (WWJ) -  A native son returns to Detroit as head coach of a team he spent several winning years a part of -- with  roughly 300 people in the room for the announcement of the top spot with the Detroit Titans.

Former player now head coach Bacari Alexander talked with Dan Leach and Jeff Lesson Sunday.

This team is going to have tons of offensive freedom Alexander said in during the news conference, but zero defensive freedom.

"Without question," Alexander told The Ticket's Dan Leach, "it's one of those things where you have to understand defensive rebounding wins championships -- we live in a blue-collar city ... when you spend your hard-earned pay -- you just want to see guys get after it on both ends of the ball."

Alexander returns to the Titans --- as a former player -- part of the back to back first round winning tournament teams that beat UCLA and St. Johns.
