Bristol Chosen To Host Shooting Competition For Next 5 Years

BRISTOL, Ind. (AP) - The National Rifle Association has chosen a northern Indiana gun range to host a competitive shooting championship for the next five years.

Chief Wa-Ke'-De Outdoor Range held the National Smallbore Rifle Championships the last two years. The National Rifle Association called the facility "excellent" and awarded it a five-year contract for the event.

The NRA also said it had "overwhelmingly positive" reception from the Bristol area.

The event will be in Bristol, near Indiana's northern border with Michigan, through 2020.

The Elkhart Truth reports that the competitions are expected to bring hundreds of visitors to the area every year.
