'Jordan's Dad Is Cussing Him Out, This Is Awkward': Last Text From Missing Woman

TROY (WWJ) - A Troy mom is worried for the safety of her 21-year-old daughter missing since Saturday.

Jessica Leigh left home with a friend on Friday night and told her mom she'd be home later that evening but has not returned as of Wednesday evening.

Karen Black, the mother of Jessica, filed a missing person's report. Her mom is concerned because the last communication she received from her daughter was a text message sent at 2:40 a.m. Saturday that said; "Jordan's dad is cussing him out, this is awkward."

Her mom did not see the message until the next morning and by then Jessica's phone was off.

Her mom believes Jessica was in Hazel Park at her friend's house and according to a Facebook post by Black the friend said Jessica wanted to be dropped off the next morning in the area of 7 Mile and John R.

Hazel Park police are handling the case with assistance from Troy and Detroit police. Search parties were looking in the area of 8 Mile and Dequindre on Detroit's eastside.
