Purse Found By Side Of Road As Police Search For Missing Mom, Daughter

HAMBURG TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police are asking for help after a mom and daughter go missing in Hamburg Township.

Thirty-year old Amanda Hayward of Hamburg Township and her 7-year old daughter Sapphire Palmer were last seen in the area of Chilson Road and Bishop Lake Road at 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Hayward was driving a black 2001 Chevrolet Prizm with a Michigan license plate CC86371.

Hours later, Hayward's purse containing credit cards and cash were found on the side of the road a few miles from her home.

Hayward is described as 5'7" with long strawberry blond hair, blue eyes, and weighs about 120 pounds.

Seven-year-old Sapphire has red hair and green eyes, she's four feet tall and weighs about 55 pounds.  Sapphire was last seen wearing a purple night gown.
