5 Teens Arrested In String Of Thefts At Gibraltar Trade Center

MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - Five teens have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Mount Clemens.

Detectives said two vendors reported thefts earlier this week. Numerous handguns and long guns from the Gun Depot inside the trade center on N. River Road, and cell phones were taken from The Cell Phone Shop, also in the trade center.

Surveillance video and photos led Macomb County Sheriff's deputies to a house in on Clara Street in Mount Clemens.

That's where they arrested four 16-year-olds, and a 14-year-old, along with an 18-year-old Detroit man who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Two of the 16-year-old are from Mt. Clemens, and two are from Detroit, according to sheriff's officials, and the 14-year-old is from Mt. Clemens. The group includes both male and females suspects.

Detectives are still searching for another 16-year-old suspect from Mt. Clemens.

All were expected to be arraigned on formal charges Wednesday afternoon.

No names have been released.
