Authorities: Man Dies While Swimming In Washtenaw County

YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities say an 18-year-old man has died while swimming at a small lake in Washtenaw County.

The man was swimming Tuesday night at the lake near Detroit Greenfield RV Park in Ypsilanti Township when he was heard struggling, according to reports. An onlooker called 911, crews responded and his body was pulled from the water.

Sheriff's department investigators say he was swimming either to or from a small island and likely drowned. The man's name wasn't immediately released.
