'Armed And Dangerous' Man Wanted In String Of Family Dollar Store Robberies
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for help from the public to identify a young man wanted in a series of armed robberies on the city's east side.
On May 20, at approximately 4:15 p.m., May 21, at 12:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., an armed suspect entered three different Family Dollar locations and robbed them, according to police.
The first incident occurred in the 14300 block of Gratiot, the second in the 12500 block of Morang and the third occurred in the 8700 block of E. 7 Mile Rd.
Security photos of the suspect were released on Thursday, with police warning that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
He's described as a black male in his 20s with a nickel plated handgun. Witnesses reported seeing him fleeing the locations in a silver or gray vehicle.
