Man Reported Missing From Oakland County Adult Care Home Found Safe

INDEPENDENCE TWP. (WWJ) - A 21-year-old man who went missing from an adult care home in Oakland County has been found safe.

Police say Adam Ross McClain was located unharmed around 8 p.m. Monday at the BP gas station at White Lake and Ormond roads in White Lake Township. Following his recovery, McClain was transported to the Common Ground Resource and Crisis Center in Pontiac, according to police.

McClain was reported missing last Thursday, June 2, when he was discovered missing from his room during a bed check by staff at the group home, located in the 4900 block of Ennismore Street in Independence Township. Police say McClain left through his bedroom window.

Officials were especially worried because McClain has severe ADHD issues and Asperger's Syndrome, and functions at the level of a 14-year-old.

Anyone with information on McClain's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 248-858-4911, or dial 911.
