Delta Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing At Detroit Metro Airport

ROMULUS (WWJ) - No one was hurt when a Delta aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Detroit Metro Airport Thursday morning.

According to Delta Air Lines spokesman Michael Thomas, the Boeing 767-300 was flying from the Romulus airport to San Francisco when the pilot had to turn around and head back after a possible issue with the aircraft's redundant power systems was discovered.

Delta flight 745 had 244 customers on board when it "landed without incident," according to Thomas, and taxied to the gate where "customers deplaned normally."

Thomas said customers were being provided refreshments while they awaited an alternate aircraft.

"The safety of our customers and crew is always Delta's top priority and we apologize for the inconvenience," he said.

No details were immediately released about the problem with the plane.
