Detroit Siblings Found Safe After Running Away From Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police say a brother and sister who ran away from home have been found safe.

Police say 11-year-old Javon Garrett and 14-year-old Tashiana Garrett were reunited with their family Saturday morning. No further details about their recovery were released.

The siblings were reported missing around around 6:30 p.m. Friday from their home on Goulburn Avenue, just south of 7 Mile Road between Hoover and Schoenherr, on the city's east side.

The siblings apparently left the home after an argument with their mother, according to police.
