$54 Million Investment, Over 100 Jobs Planned In Wixom

WIXOM (WWJ) - New business and jobs coming to Wixom.

TREMEC Corporation is planning to invest 54-million dollars to set up its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Wixom and create as many as 133 jobs.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announced the deal today. The state will provide 730-thousand dollars in grant money for the project and the city is offering tax breaks as well.

TREMEC makes transmissions. The company plans to lease a new building in Wixom that will include global business development, a technical support center and a new advanced automotive transmission production operation.
