After Draymond Green's Suspension, Let's Remember When He Played Football At MSU [VIDEO]

In 2008 Draymond Green was just a freshman on the Michigan State basketball team and all I remember is hoping he wouldn't shoot a three.

After spending four years in East Lansing, Green turned up his game and became a leader on the floor as well as a potential NBA player.

Let's now fast forward to 2016. Green has been named to the All-Star game, won a NBA title, was voted to the All-NBA second team and has been voted to the NBA All-Defensive First Team twice. Green was suspended for game 5 of the NBA Finals in which the Warriors lost 112-97 to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That's not what this post is about though. In 2011, Draymond Green suited up for the Michigan State football team at tight end for the spring game. Wearing the number 83, the 6 foot 7 inch 230 pound green probably realized that he made the right choice with basketball.

Big Ten TV host Taylor Rooks posted the following video to her Twitter account.

The first play shows Green jumping off sides. It wasn't just a flinch either. The next play shows Green going out for a pass with the defender not going easy on him at all.

All in all it still wasn't as bad as the time Blake O'Neill tried to field a punt for the Michigan Wolverines.
