Crew Repairing Water Main On Detroit's East Side Finds Dead Dog
DETROIT (WWJ) - It was thought to be a dead body but police say it was just a false alarm.
A crew was in the area of Joann and Manning avenues Thursday morning making repairs to a water main when they discovered what appeared to be a body wrapped in a tarp. It was located in a vacant field near where a house had been torn down.
Police responded to the scene, in a neighborhood near East State Fair and Schoenherr, and when they pulled back the tarp, they discovered the body of a dead dog.
Circumstances surrounding the dog's death aren't clear.
