Lansing-Based Company Gets $202K Incentive For Video Game

LANSING (AP) - A video game developed by a Lansing-based company has received a more than $202,500 incentive from the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office.

The video game, "Tuebor," draws on narrative role playing and team building and features a diverse range of styles, including adventure, combat, fantasy, role-playing and strategy. It was created by independent game developer Strength in Numbers Studio.

A press release from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation says the incentive amount for "Tuebor" is based on its estimated total production, post production, publicity and advertising budget of about $863,000.

The video game's incentive agreement was approved before a law eliminating a cash-rebate incentive program for film and digital media.
