Nearby Strip Club Blamed After Man Shot On 8 Mile

DETROIT (WWJ) One person is hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting on Eight Mile Road near the Southfield Freeway in Detroit.

Police said it happened at about 2 a.m. when someone in a Dodge Durango pulled up alongside a Kia and opened fire.

Joey Dillard, who works nearby, has a theory about this morning's shooting, saying he knows whom he blames for alleged nefarious activity in the area.

"A lot of activity comes from, I'm not going to use their name, but say, a gentlemen's club down the street," he said.

No one else was injured, but investigators are still looking for that Durango.
