Police Need Tips To ID Man Who Held Up Dearborn Pharmacy [PHOTOS]

DEARBORN (WWJ) - Police are looking for tips from the public to identify a man who robbed a Dearborn pharmacy at gunpoint.

According to Dearborn police, the man was armed with a handgun when he entered Cherry Hill Pharmacy, at Cherry Hill and W. Outer Drive, and demanded money. After threatening employees and stealing property from the pharmacy, he fled on foot.

The crime happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.

The suspect is described as a black male around 20 to 30 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a long-sleeve shirt, khaki cargo shorts and a blue baseball cap and had a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

The suspect, whose image was captured on store security cameras, remained at large on Wednesday.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad urged citizens to come forward with information about the case.

"Our number one priority is citizen safety," Haddad said, in a statement. "When that becomes jeopardized, we will do everything in our power to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice. We are urging the public to assist us in apprehending this violent subject."

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos is urged not to try to apprehend him, but to Dearborn police at 313-943-2241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Tips may also be submitted online at this link, or by texting CSM and the tip to CRIMES (2746370). All tipsters may remain anonymous.
