Terry Foster: I'm Leaning Toward Not Voting

By Terry Foster

The Democratic and Republican Conventions are over. The real race begins and for the first time I am leaning toward not voting for either of the major candidates.
Donald Trump is too much of a wild card. He screams and yells and says a lot of things that make me laugh. But that is not enough to vote for a guy.

Hillary Clinton's final speech trumped that of Donald Trump and that concept of the first woman president is cool, but I do not trust her. The most compelling reason to vote for her is I do not want another conservative judge on the United States Supreme Court.

** The two most compelling speakers were Michelle Obama who is a wonderful story-teller. The other was Ted Cruz who stood in front of the Republicans and refused to endorse Trump before a bunch of booing and jeering delegates. That took guts.

** Are we supposed to be worried? North Korea declared war on the United States. I am not kidding about this. This is an unstable country with an unstable leader but they seemed upset. One of the country's diplomats said that the United States crossed a line by placing leader Kim Jung Un on a sanctioned list.

He does belong on somebody's list.

So are we supposed to collect water and buy extra food? What does war with North Korea look like?

** Today is national chicken wing day. I will go with the honey barbeque or plain fried wings with hot sauce.

** And finally here is the dumb move of the day. Minnesota Vikings third-string quarterback Taylor Heinicke is out three months with a torn tendon in his left ankle after trying to kick a door in. He injured the foot after returning to a friend's house. He was locked out and tried to kick or wedge his foot in the door.
Now he's gone. It reminds me of when Stephen Tulloch was injured while celebrating.

In both cases it sounded like dumb luck.
