Motorcyclist Killed In Crash In Bloomfield Township Neighborhood
BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - Authorities say a Garden City man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in an Oakland County neighborhood.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday on Hickory Grove Road just east of Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township.
Police say the 37-year-old was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Hickory Grove when he collided with a 2013 Ford Fiesta that was crossing at Chickering Lane.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was declared dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The other driver, a 25-year-old Waterford resident, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident, which remains under investigation.
