UPDATE: Police Chase Ends In Capture Of Suspect Wanted In Connection With Macomb Woman's Murder

LENOX TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Authorities are on the hunt for the boyfriend of a woman found dead in northern Macomb County Tuesday morning.

Sheriff's officials say 36-year-old Jeremiah James Boshell — a convicted felon — is a person of interest in the murder of the 38-year-old Macomb Township resident, whose body was discovered behind the wheel her Chrysler PT Cruiser, parked in a field behind a home in the 60,000-block of Forest Road in Lenox Township.

The homeowner, who called 911 when he made the discovery at around 8 a.m., is said to be cooperating with investigators.

Meantime, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says they're looking for Boshell who was last seen at the Menard's store in Davison, Michigan. He may be driving a gray Ford pickup truck.

Wickersham is warning the public not to try to make contact with Boshell as he has a lengthy criminal history including convictions for escape from jail, fleeing police, felonious assault and gun charges and may be armed.

Anyone who sees this person of interest or who may know of his whereabouts should dial 9-1-1.

The victim's name is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of her family. Authorities are not talking about a possible cause of death or a motive at this time.
