Detroit Police Search For 16-Year-Old Girl Missing Nearly 2 Weeks

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help in locating a 16-year-old girl who was reported missing on the city's west side.

Police say Shontice Boyd was last seen by her father around noon on Friday, August 5 at their home in the 15700 block of Linwood, near the Lodge Freeway.

Boyd's father told police he believes the teen left the location, then got into a car with someone. She hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Boyd is described as a black female with a medium brown complexion, 5'5" tall and 155 lbs. with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair. She also wears a nose ring. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue shorts with yellow flowers, and white sandals.

Anyone with information on Boyd's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-596-1240.
