Macomb County Mother Tearfully Pleads For Son's Return

(WWJ) He's been missing since last March, and the family of Stephen McAfee, 19, is looking for someone to do the right thing.

The young man who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome left his home at about 2:30 a.m. on Walden Drive in Macomb Township and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

He didn't take any money, credit cars or clothes with him, according to his family.

"As a parent, your child is always connected to you," said mother Suzanne McAfee. "No matter if they're gone and living their dream. Steven was a very young boy, his life was just beginning."

She's terrified he fell in with a bad crowd.

Steven's phone pinged off a tower in Detroit and Sterling Heights at different points, but the family has no idea where he could be or whom he could be with.

A cash reward of $5,000 is being offered.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
