Report: 2 Western Michigan Football Players Allegedly Rob Female Student At Gunpoint

KALAMAZOO (WWJ) -- Two Western Michigan University football players have been arrested for allegedly holding up another student at gunpoint.

Bryson White, 20, and Ron George, 18, were taken into custody sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning, according to WWMT.

WMU officials told WWMT that the two student-athletes were found with a semi-automatic weapon, a knife and stolen money after they robbed a female student.

Western Michigan coach PJ Fleck released a statement regarding the incident, saying that the two players have been suspended indefinitely.

"Having heard this news early this morning, I took action to immediately suspend both freshman players indefinitely. We expect to learn more about these allegations today. I'm extremely disappointed and want to assure the community that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university."

The incident apparently took place at WMU's Draper Hall.
