Police Searching For Suspects In Connection With Deadly Shooting In Pontiac

PONTIAC (WWJ) – A 37-year-old Pontiac man is dead following a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was found lying on the sidewalk at the corner of Motor Street and Hughes Avenue just before 3 p.m.

According to witnesses, the man was interacting with three black males before one pulled out a gun, firing multiple shots at the victim. The man chased the three before the suspect fired another shot. The victim walked back north before collapsing.

The suspects then took off on foot.

Authorities say Oakland County deputies tried to help the man until Star EMS arrived, taking him to McLaren Oakland.

A perimeter was set up, multiple K-9 units and an Aviation unit responded in an attempt to locate the suspects.

An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information should call police.
