Caught On Camera: Trio Steals Liquor, Cigarettes Worth Thousands From Detroit Business [VIDEO]

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help identifying three suspects who broke into a store on the city's east side and stole thousands of dollars worth of liquor and cigarettes.

The break-in happened around 2 a.m. on Thursday Aug. 25 in the 15900 block of E. Warren. Police on Friday distributed three videos of the crime, taken from security cameras at the store.

The first video shows two males approaching the business, both covering their faces under the necks of their T-shirts.

The second video shows two males suspects inside the store. This time, both are wearing hooded sweatshirts with bandannas covering their faces. The pair -- one armed with a crowbar -- struggle for about 30 seconds to open a door leading to behind the counter.

The third and final video shows the suspects dragging the trash cans filled with liquor bottles and cigarettes from behind the counter and exiting the store.
