Federal Inmate Who Escaped From Tennessee Jail Captured In Royal Oak

ROYAL OAK (WWJ/AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service says a federal inmate who escaped from a Tennessee jail has been captured in Michigan.

A statement from the Marshals Service said the agency confirmed on Tuesday that 37-year-old Timothy England was arrested Friday in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Officials say England escaped from the Washington County jail on Aug. 30. He was in federal custody awaiting trial on charges of bank robbery and violating his federal supervised release. Authorities said he was considered dangerous due to a history of violent behavior.

Details of England's escape have not been released.
