Jaguars' Ivory 'Grateful' To Return After 'Personal Matter'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Ivory says he's "grateful to be back in the facility and able to refocus on the game that I love."

In a statement released by the team Thursday, Ivory thanked the medical staff, first responders and everyone at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for helping him during the past few days. Ivory was hospitalized Sunday with a "general medical issue" and missed the season opener against Green Bay. He was released Tuesday.

He is expected to hold a news conference later Thursday.

The Jaguars (0-1) play at San Diego (0-1) on Sunday, and Ivory's status remains uncertain.

Ivory says "I appreciate everyone's sensitivity during this personal matter and I'm ready to be back out on the field and look forward to doing so in the near future. Thank you for all for your support."
