Longtime Detroit Newsman John Kelly Dies At Age 88
DETROIT (WWJ) -- A long-time fixture of Detroit television, John Kelly, has died at age 88.
Kelly, who got into broadcasting after serving as a radioman in the U.S. Navy, was first hired in Detroit by WJBK in 1965.
Kelly eventually moved to WXYZ. The newsman co-hosted the famed morning show "Kelly and Company" with his wife Marilyn Turner.
Kelly is survived by his wife, two brothers, and his three kids and six grandchildren.
