Video Of Bikini-Clad Women On Detroit Fire Truck Prompts Probe

DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - The Detroit Fire Department is conducting an internal investigation after a video circulated online showing bikini-clad women dancing on a fire truck at a car wash.

The incident happened after firefighters stopped at The Jet Spa and Ultra Wash on Second and Clairmount avenues, according to TV stations WDIV and WJBK.

Cellphone video shows a man in a firefighter shirt apparently putting dollar bills in the women's swimsuits. The car wash says it was holding a charity fundraiser at the time the firefighters stopped.

Fire Commissioner Eric Jones says in a statement that "this type of behavior only serves to detract from the image that our firefighters have worked so hard to earn in the community."

Detroit Fire Fighter Association President Mike Nevin says firefighters are out saving lives every day and safety wasn't in jeopardy at any time.
