Ex-Con Charged With Murdering Four Children, Torturing Wife At Dearborn Heights Home [VIDEO]

DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) - The ex-con accused of killing his children and stepchildren, and attempting to murder his wife is facing a laundry list of charges.

Gregory Vincente Green, 49, appeared Thursday in 20th District Court where he was arraigned on four counts of first-degree murder, and one count each of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, torture, unlawful imprisonment, felonious assault, felon in possession, and felony firearm.

Barefooted and clad in an orange jumpsuit, Green held his head down throughout the hearing without emotion, glancing up at the judge as each charge was read.

Green spoke only once, telling the judge: "I don't need bond, I don't think I deserve it."

He was remanded to jail without bond. A probable cause hearing was set for October 5, with a preliminary exam on October 12.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, it's alleged that Green called 911 around 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday and admitted to killing his entire family. When police arrived at Green's home in the 4400 block of Hipp, near  Pelham and Annapolis roads, he was waiting on the porch and was immediately placed under arrest.

After the arrest, police went into the home and discovered Green's 39-year-old wife, Faith, in the basement of the home, bound with duct tape and zip ties. It is alleged that Green bound his wife, cut her face with a box cutter and shot her foot. Prosecutors say Green then shot his stepchildren, 19-year-old Chadney Allen and 17-year-old Kara Allen, in front of his wife, who was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. She was last reported in fair condition. Investigators say both teens were shot multiple times, execution style, and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Upstairs, police discovered the bodies of Green's biological children, 5-year-old Koi Green and 4-year-old Kaleigh Green, tucked into their beds. It is alleged that Green poisoned the two younger children with carbon monoxide -- duct tape was observed on the muffler of a car in the garage and a plastic tube was attached to the car -- and then moved their bodies back inside the home. The children were taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Police Capt. Michael Petri said the situation "seems to have stemmed from a domestic violence related incident," adding that police have never been called to the home in the past.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Green served 16 years in prison for second-degree murder after pleading no contest in 1991 to killing his pregnant wife. He was released from prison in 2008 on his fifth request for parole.

The Greens married in 2010, according to the Associated Press, and Faith Green recently filed for divorce in August. In her divorce filing, Faith Green cited a "breakdown in the marriage relationship." She also filed for divorce in 2013 but the case was dismissed for lack of action. A personal protection order that same year was rejected by a judge, the AP reported.
