Two Livonia Teens Die In Crash; Police Say Car Was Stolen

PLYMOUTH (WWJ) - Two Livonia teens are dead following a fiery crash in Plymouth Township.

Livonia Police Captain Robert Nenciarini says the two were seen driving recklessly in a Ford Mustang late Saturday night around Garfield Elementary.

"They were doing donuts in the parking lot," said Nenciarini. "And had struck some trash cans also, so when our officers had got there, the callers had said, they had left the parking lot - our cars got in the area and saw them on Yale at Plymouth road - which is just a couple of blocks from the school.

Police tried to pull the car over, but the driver took-off. A few minutes later police in the City of Plymouth were called to a single-vehicle crash at Plymouth Road and Haggerty.

"We were eventually notified by Plymouth that it looked like our vehicle was involved in a crash in their town on Plymouth Road around Haggerty and it apparently burst into flames and the occupants were deceased," said Nenciarini.

Inside, were two 14-year old boys from Livonia -- they were freshman at Churchill High School.

Police say the vehicle they were driving was stolen from a business in Plymouth Township.
