Police: No Injuries In Dearborn School Bus Fire

DEARBORN (WWJ) – Some Dearborn High School students were late getting home Monday afternoon thanks to a fire on the bus.

Dearborn police say the bus was on Ford Road near Evergreen when there was engine trouble and smoke. The driver stopped and got all of the students off the bus safely before the engine caught fire.

The Dearborn Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the engine fire.

Another bus was sent to pick up the stranded kids.

There were no injuries.
