Lions Sign CB D’Joun Smith To Practice Squad

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed CB D’Joun Smith to the team’s practice squad and released TE Brian Leonhardt from the practice squad. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Smith (5-11, 193) comes to Detroit after appearing in four games in 2015 as a rookie for the Indianapolis Colts. Originally drafted by the Colts in the third round (65th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida Atlantic, he finished last season with one special teams tackle and one fumble recovery.
